Yonkers Mayor Phil Amicone unveiled a new budget Wednesday that will ask homeowners to pay more in property taxes.
The $903 million budget proposal includes a 7.8 percent property tax hike that will be used to help close a $14 million shortfall, Amicone says.
The Yonkers mayor says the spending plan does not include any layoffs of city or school workers.
