Three people are recovering today after a crash involving an ambulance on the Tappan Zee Bridge.
Police say an ambulance and a car collided during yesterday's evening rush on the southbound side of the span.
No one was seriously hurt, but there was a patient in the ambulance at the time. The patient had to be transferred to another emergency vehicle after the crash.
The accident caused a major traffic back-up in both directions.
