IBM's former building in East Fishkill is set to become Amazon's new 631,000-square-foot warehouse.
The East Fishkill Town Board has approved plans by the online commerce giant to build at the location.
The move is expected to bring at least 500 full-time and 700 part-time jobs to the area.
The East Fishkill location will join others in the ara like New Windsor, Blauvelt and Elmsford, which already employees hundreds of people full and part-time.
Small businesses in the area say they are looking forward to having Amazon as their new neighbor.
