Alleged burglary, car chase duo busted after crash
A man and woman were arrested Tuesday in White Plains after police say they tried to rob a home and then led officers on a car chase.
Police say the man first tried to burglarize an Irvington home before he and the female suspect fled in a stolen Audi. Police say a contractor working on the Osceola Avenue home saw the pair.
The suspects then allegedly led White Plains, Greenburgh and county police on a chase from Irvington to White Plains, where the driver allegedly tried to strike a cop before crashing into a tree at a car dealership. The driver is charged with assault.
Officers arrested the pair at the scene. They are still being questioned and their identities have not been released.
