A string of threats has been made against schools across the city using an app called Omegle, police say.

The most recent threat was made against New Utrecht High School on Tuesday.

Police say someone in an online chat threatened to engage in a shooting at the school.

Council Member Justin Brannan announced the news on Facebook, saying the threats all have the exact same wording and that police believe the threats are bogus but are taking them seriously.
