An Air Force airman surprised her family during an emotional homecoming Wednesday in Circleville.

Unity Corona, a 20-year-old airman 1st class, surprised her younger sister and brother on stage during an award ceremony at Circleville Middle School. Her surprised parents were waiting in the wings.

Corona is home for the first time in more than a year after serving her first tour in Japan.

"I tried not to cry. It's been a while. My siblings and I and my parents have always been really close so it's definitely emotional," says Unity Corona.

Corona returns to Japan next month. Her tour ends in 2019.
