New information is raising concerns about lead in Hudson Valley water systems.

A public advocacy group created a map showing how many water pipes are lead or may be made of lead.

State data shows Poughkeepsie has the highest percentage, with more than 80% of its service lines.

Several Westchester communities also made the list, including Mount Vernon and New Rochelle.

Environmental advocates say water should be tested now, warning, "We need to know if the public's being exposed and if they are, those water suppliers need to be very quick and replace those lead pipes," says Adrienne Esposito, Citizens Campaign For The Environment.

News 12 reached out to the cities named in the report but has not heard back.
