The man accused of flashing students at a girls Catholic high school was in Greenburgh Town Court today.
Edward Foley, 27, of Edgemont, has been charged with trespassing and endangering the welfare of a child after police say he exposed himself at Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale. The principal of the school says a student let Foley in when he came to the high school saying he needed to use the bathroom. Police say he got undressed in the bathroom near the lobby, then opened the bathroom door and stood in the doorway before putting his clothes back on and running away.
The court decided today that before they proceed further, they want to see that Foley is in active treatment before going forward with the case. The prosecution disagreed, saying he has been in sex offender treatment before but once he got out continued that behavior.
The judge also ordered an order of protection for students at the school so that Foley cannot go near the school or contact anyone there.
Foley is out on $5,000 bail. He is due back in court on March 22.
