Tax season is approaching, and AARP is set to provide in-person tax assistance at the New Rochelle Public Library.

AARP volunteer counselors will be available in the library's meeting room and theater to offer support through its Tax Aide program.

The assistance sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting on Feb. 1 and concluding on April 11. Help will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with no appointments available.

Individuals seeking assistance are advised to bring last year's federal and state returns, along with an official photo ID and Social Security card.
