The City of White Plains gave News 12 a sneak peek of their New Year's Eve ball before its annual celebration and countdown.

On Monday morning, the ball underwent its final inspection before being moved to the event area.

Mayor Tom Roach shared his excitement about the ball, highlighting its impressive features, including 7,500 LED lights that require minimal maintenance and can display a variety of colors and patterns.
