Police are investigating the vandalism at the Fleetwood Synagogue after black swastikas were etched on the sidewalk.
Mayor Ernie Davis says he's outraged by the vandalism. He says he wants to send a clear message to the community that these acts of hatred will not be tolerated in his city.
Police are investigating the incident. The city of Mount Vernon is offering a monetary reward for anyone with information leading to the capture and arrest of those responsible.
