Ramapo police have confirmed the identity of the victim in the fatal fire at a residence on Stonehurst Court in New Hempstead last Friday.

Gary Tarshish, 72, was the sole resident and tragically lost his life in the incident.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, stating that there's no apparent suspicion surrounding the incident.
