A sixth grader in Edgemont is breaking the mold by becoming Greenburgh's youngest lobbyist.
Maya Barmecha is a student at Greenville Elementary School. She lives with her family on Fort Hill Road, so walking to and from school means hugging the side of the road to dodge traffic. So now, she's taking action.
Barmecha is advocating for a sidewalk to be installed along Fort Hill Road from Longview Drive to Underhill Road.
She says she is determined to present her case to the front of the Greenburgh Town Board.
