A local gardener may have found a record-setting zucchini in her backyard.
Nancy Papalia, of Somers, discovered possibly the longest squash grown in a garden in the area recently.
The five-foot long zucchini weighs between 8 to 10 pounds.
While the zucchini may be the biggest found in the Hudson Valley in some time, the Guinness Book of World Records says the world record of 7' 10.3" was grown in Canadian garden in 2005.
