43rd annual Dutchess County Classic makes its return this weekend
Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club say it is expecting nearly 1,000 runners on Sunday for the 43rd annual Dutchess County Classic after last year’s race was canceled due to the pandemic.

467ds agoMid-Hudson Road Runners Club say it is expecting nearly 1,000 runners on Sunday for the 43rd annual Dutchess County Classic after last year’s race was canceled due to the pandemic.
The event will start at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie.
The 5K and half and full marathons will take place on the Dutchess County rail trail and partially on the Walkway Over the Hudson.
Organizers say adjustments have been made due to COVID-19.
“We’re doing it in staggered starts,” says Kim Caruso, the vice president of the club. “So rather than have all the runners start at one time, we’re doing 50 runners at a time.”
Caruso says having the runners go in small waves will help to ease the amount of people on the trail and at the starting line.
Registered runners are encouraged to arrive early.
