A 40-day abortion protest ended Sunday in Spring Valley with demonstrators holding up signs and raising their voices.
At least a handful of pro-life advocates have gathered in front of a Spring Valley Planned Parenthood for more than a month as part of a nationwide protest.
Organizers say participants were led by their faith and beliefs. They ended the rally by gathering at a Nyack church to reflect.
The Planned Parenthood office was closed Sunday, but President and CEO Reina Schiffrin issued a statement. "The handful of protesters have not prevented people from accessing our services. It is unfortunate, however, that the women and families we serve have to face this kind of intimidation and harassment in order to receive basic health care services," Schiffrin wrote.
