Residents in Sleepy Hollow say ICE agents took three people into custody on Thursday.
Mayor Martin Rutyna said village police were notified early Thursday morning that ICE would be attempting to serve a warrant on a person who was located on Cortlandt Street.
The mayor said agents provided police with a copy the warrant that was signed by a judge and issued to a person with a criminal record.
Village officials said ICE then took this person and two others into custody without incident.
While their charges are unclear, News 12 ran into a man who said he filmed the arrests.
"You know, it's sad to see those people with handcuffs," the man said.
Mayor Rutyna said village police were not involved in the execution of this warrant.
While he issued a statement saying he wants "all residents" to feel safe, a number of people that News 12 spoke with said the village felt a bit quieter on Thursday.
"You see in that corner of there, there's a lot of people looking for job and we don't see anybody there," another Sleepy Hollow resident said.
News 12 learned that this isn't ICE's first visit to Westchester this week either.
A government post online said agents arrested Marlon Josuel Cruz Fernandez in New Rochelle on Monday.
Officials said he is from the Dominican Republic and was wanted in his home country for homicide.
"I mean if you're looking for somebody that committed a capital crime and they're illegal then they should not be here," a Sleepy Hollow resident said
News 12 reached out to Homeland Security for comment but has not heard back yet.
