Three people from the Hudson Valley are among those charged with selling opioids in the Bronx.
Anthony Antonucci, of Valley Cottage, Kaitlyn Jefferson, of Thiells, and Jovanny Torres, of Yorktown Heights, were arrested during a takedown at the Hunts Point Produce Market in the Bronx last June.
Officials say they were involved with selling fentanyl in employees-only areas of the market.
City leaders say the dealers handled the toxic substance while also handling fruits and vegetables. More than a million people get their produce from the market.
If convicted, some of the defendants could see up to 25 years in prison.
