A three-car pileup temporarily shut down Route 32 in Cornwall and sent four people to the hospital.
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m.
Police say three cars were involved in the chain-reaction accident. They say a GMC pickup truck slammed into an Acura sedan at the intersection. That truck then rolled over into southbound traffic on Route 3 and hit a Chrysler minivan head-on.
A witness captured photos of fire crews working to cut free a young boy and a 31-year-old driver of the minivan from Central Valley.
Police say both were transported by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center, where they're being treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The 55-year-old man behind the wheel of the pickup and the 69-year-old female driver of the sedan, who are both from Highland Mills, were taken by ambulance to be treated for their injuries and are expected to be OK.
