A Rockland County school teacher is praying this holiday weekend for a kidney donation.
On Easter Sunday of 2020, 24-year-old Fieldstone Middle School teacher Nicole Faleri received a life-changing medical diagnosis.
“Sclerosis of the kidney. The kidney tissue starts to break down. When those break down, they don't regenerate. They die off,” she said.
The science teacher is currently on a waiting list for a new kidney and hopes to find a donor soon.
"A living donor lasts longer, deceased donor kidneys last 10 to 12 years, living donor will last likely my whole life,” she said.
Anyone who would like to help is encouraged to call 212-263-3621 and say the name “Nicole Faleri.”
