A popular Jersey City bar is apologizing after a trivia team with a name referencing the Cornell sexual assault case was awarded “best team name.”

“Wolf,” the founder of the bar Pint, posted an Instagram video alongside co-owner Tommy addressing the incident.

Wolf said the trivia host’s actions were done without his knowledge and that the host was immediately fired.

He said the team’s name – a reference to the seven Chi Phi fraternity members accused in the assault – “violates both how we want to treat our community and the standards we have for our business.”

Wolf says that all the money earned on the night of the trivia event will be donated to sexual violence and prevention programs.
