Orangetown officials will meet Tuesday night on a proposed temporary ban on data centers.

Activists say the town board should approve the ban because data centers are bad for the environment.

The meeting comes after a controversial plan to make an existing data center bigger in Orangeburg.

That plan has been under an environmental review since last month.
