DROUGHT UPDATE
We are seeing some improvements to the level of drought. That said, abnormally dry to scattered moderate drought conditions still persist across Westchester and the lower Hudson Valley.
TUESDAY'S STORM RECAP
Heavy rain and flooding plagued the region on Tuesday. Tarrytown saw nearly 5 inches of rain!
The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down just after 4 p.m. Tuesday with peak winds of 85 mph. The tornado carved a path nearly 2 miles long from Purchase to Rye Brook, leaving downed trees at Manhattanville College and across surrounding neighborhoods.

High pressure has settled in across the region. What that means to us is that it will be quiet, sunny, and feature beautiful summer weather through the weekend. Today temperatures may be slightly warmer than Thursday. Warming up to around the low 80s under sunny skies. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy, and temperatures will be in the low 60s. A comfortable night that opens up an excellent start to the weekend.
Saturday temperatures will be in the 60s to 70s in the morning. Skies will remain mostly sunny, and humidity is still very low. Sunday, slightly warmer near the mid-80s, but the skies will remain mostly sunny.
All outdoor activities this weekend in the Hudson Valley will have no issues from the weather this week.
Changes will arrive Monday evening and through midweek. Humidity will increase, and rain chances pick up from Monday night through Thursday as of right now. You will not need the umbrellas for now, but Monday evening, you may want to grab them once again.
