Elementary and middle school students in Plainfield are rooting for the New York Knicks in the NBA playoffs.

The Knicks helped to build the playground at Queen City Academy Charter School in 2014. Among them were New Brunswick-born former Knicks star John Starks and Tim Hardaway, Jr.

The team has also hosted basketball clinics at the school for more than 10 years.
