A teenager is dead after a fire in a multi-family home in northern Westchester, sources say.
The fire tore through a home on High Street in Peekskill that started just after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters arrived within two minutes, where they saw heavy fire conditions.
They searched the building after hearing initial reports of people trapped inside.
That’s when they found an unconscious person on the second floor.
The teen was removed from the building and crews performed CPR.
The victim was then taken to New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, where they later died.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
No word yet on if anyone else was inside at the time or if anyone else was injured.
