It's a beautiful start to the weekend with plenty of sunshine today. High temperatures will soar to 90-degrees for the third day in a row. If Westchester hits 90-degrees, it will officially be the first heat wave in the Hudson Valley since last August. The wind today is light from the NW at 5 mph. No advisories have been posted for boaters.

Strong storms are possible on Sunday, but it is certainly not a washout. The entire morning is dry with sunshine. Morning lows are in the upper 60s with highs climbing to the upper 80s. A stiff south wind will pick up in the afternoon. A small craft advisory may go into effect for boaters on the sound.

Strong storms will move through after 4 p.m. and weaken as they move eastward. Be prepared to take plans inside in the late afternoon and early evening on Sunday.

Temperatures return to near-average, around 80-degrees for the start of the work week with no rain expected before Wednesday evening.
