A man was stabbed in the torso and slashed in the face in Soundview, police say.

Officers responded to 726 Rosedale Ave. just after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say an argument sparked the violence.

EMS took the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Police say he is expected to recover.
