Spring continues to stay on the cooler side this week for western Connecticut. Temperatures will mainly stay in the low to mid-60s during the day and then fall into the 40s at night. Cooler spots in northern Litchfield County will see overnight temperatures in the mid- to upper 30s at times early in the week.
The sky will be bright and beautiful on Tuesday, but then the clouds roll in with showers on Wednesday. There is a risk of some soaking thunderstorms going into Thursday. Showers may also linger on Friday.
After that point, a major pattern shift occurs and our local temperatures will really warm up for several days. High temperatures this weekend and for most of next week will top out in the 70s to near 80 degrees.
