Most of New Jersey is starting off with some frost or a hard freeze with temperatures at or around 32 degrees which is close to record cold.
RECORDS: Atlantic City - 25 degrees in 1981. Newark - 31 degrees in 1981. Sussex - 24 degrees in 2018. Trenton - 30 degrees in 1925.
That chill is still in the air today with daytime highs only getting into the 50s with some sunshine.
Late tonight and into Wednesday morning we'll have a batch of showers then clearing up for the afternoon. Temperatures will try to pop up to 60 degrees.
70s on Thursday but heading into the weekend temperatures will be cooler with on and off showers.
