There's a new push to keep an NYPD sergeant from Mahopac out of prison.
Sergeant Eric Duran was found guilty of manslaughter earlier this year.
Prosecutors say Duran was working undercover in the Bronx in 2023.
That's when he tried to make a drug arrest and targeted the wrong man.
They say he threw a cooler at a 30-year-old suspect, killing him.
A jury convicted him, and he faces up to 15 years in prison.
