Woman wanted for attacking MTA bus driver in Melrose

Authorities say the 54-year-old was driving a northbound Bx15 bus near Melrose Avenue and East 161st Street when her alleged attacker walked up to her and started an argument.

Police are searching for a woman who they say is responsible for attacking an MTA bus driver in Melrose.

Authorities say the 54-year-old victim was driving a northbound Bx15 bus near Melrose Avenue and East 161st Street when her alleged attacker walked up to her and started an argument.

Police say the suspect kicked the driver all over her body, injuring her chest and right arm.

Paramedics took the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. She is expected to recover.

Police say the woman, pictured wearing a black hoodie with the words “It was all a dream,” exited the bus and ran away after the attack.
