 April temperature whiplash with rain chances mixed in

The first day of April will feature more temperatures in the 60s and & 70s with late-day rain showers and even a thunderstorm.

Showers are possible today with a thunderstorm mixed in as we get into this evening.

While you won’t need the rain gear every hour of the day, keep it on standby.

Temperatures will once again impress, with 70s for many areas.

This spring-like swing brings us back to a March feel by Thursday, with highs in the 40s once again.

If you have Easter egg hunt plans for the upcoming weekend, Saturday will be your day, as highs soar back to near 70.

Easter Sunday itself looks to bring showers and temperatures in the 60s.

April is here, and changes are on the way, with average temperatures quickly rising and daylight getting longer.

March 31 marked the first 70-degree day at Sikorsky Airport in 174 days, the longest streak below 70 degrees since 2019, so we deserve consistent warmth now.
