A Stratford man is facing drug charges for working as a narcotics dealer, police say.
Police say in January, they became aware of a mid-level narcotics dealer who supplied narcotics to street-level dealers in Stratford and Bridgeport.
On March 26, police executed three search warrants.
As result, Ernest Samuel was taken into custody at 24 Enrica Rita Way in Stratford. He is a convicted felon with 27 prior arrests, many of them narcotics related.
Police say the warrants led them to seize a loaded Smith & Wesson, a .32 caliber revolver, 82.3 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 113 grams of marijuana and about $400.

Samuel's charges include criminal possession of a firearm, illegal transfer/purchase of a firearm, illegal operation of a drug factory and illegal possession of heroin with intent to sell.
He is expected to appear in court April 7.
