Driver charged in connection with fatal hit-and-run in Trenton

A man is facing charges in connection with a deadly hit-and-run on March 27 in Trenton.

Police responded around 12:50 a.m. to the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Hudson Street for a report of a pedestrian struck, according to the Trenton Police Department.

Officers found Michael Manoil, 52, of Trenton, in the road with signs of serious trauma. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators responded to the scene, determined a suspect vehicle and interviewed several witnesses who saw the incident.

Police identified Matthew Eliu Ochoa, 26, as the driver and arrested him without incident.

Ochoa was charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident and endangering an injured victim.
