Police: Female cyclist hit by vehicle in Stamford is on road to recovery

As News 12 reported, a 2010 Toyota RAV4 traveling north and struck the woman who was driving an electric bicycle that was crossing eastbound.

A female cyclist who was hit by a vehicle Wednesday night in Stamford is now stable, police say.

Police say that the 49-year-old Stamford resident is on the road to recovery from her injuries.

The crash happened in the 900 block of Washington Boulevard around 9:40 p.m. As News 12 reported, a 2010 Toyota RAV4 traveling north and struck the woman who was driving an electric bicycle that was crossing eastbound.

The driver was not injured and stayed on scene. Police say they are coopering with officers.

No charges have been filed.
