A state correction officer is facing charges in Orange County following a domestic dispute at a home in Wallkill.

Police said the incident happened Tuesday morning on Imperial Park Drive.

Investigators said a rifle was fired during the dispute, but no one was hurt.

Christopher Mendez was charged with reckless endangerment. He was arraigned and released.
