There are major concerns from drivers over the condition of a busy road in northern Westchester County.

Christopher is talking about Route 117 in Bedford, specifically between Harris Road and the Bedford Hills Fire Station.

He's not the only one who has something to say about it.
"Just potholes and really bad infrastructure," says Bedford resident Robert Winston.
Frequent drivers say the main problems are the potholes, uneven parts of the road and deterioration on the sides of the road.
They say they want it fixed.
Some lawmakers are stepping in.
"That juncture is heavily trafficked. A lot of trucks, it's a route to the hospital so it's problematic for our emergency first responders," says Sen. Pete Harckham.
Sen. Harckham and Assemblymember Chris Burdick sent a letter to the commissioner of the state Department of Transportation to call for "immediate and decisive action."
"We're calling upon the governor and the commissioner to try to find funds for the paving that's needed." says Assemblymember Burdick.
Officials with the NYSDOT sent the following statement:
"The New York State Department of Transportation has received the letter from the lawmakers and is reviewing it. In the meantime, NYSDOT continues to monitor conditions on State Route 117 in Bedford Hills and provide maintenance to ensure the safety of the roadway as necessary."
