A Ronkonkoma woman is accused of intentionally lighting her house on fire with three children inside.
Police say 26-year-old Ashley Richard is now in custody. She allegedly set the fire last month at an Avenue C home.
Police say Richard told the children to evacuate through a first-floor window. News 12 was told that the children were ages 13, 9 and 6.
No injuries were reported.
Richard is facing arson and child endangerment charges. She is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
