A sign from Newark Liberty International Airport’s Gate A-17 is now on display at a 9/11 memorial in Shanksville.

Flight 93 departed from that gate on Sept. 11, 2001, before it was hijacked and crashed in Pennsylvania, killing all 44 people on board.

The Port Authority saved the sign when Newark’s old Terminal A closed in 2023.
