A woman is accused of stealing more than $220,000 meant for a school serving disabled students, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
Nataly Ramos Allende, 26, of Queens, was arrested and charged with grand larceny.
Prosecutors say she created a fake account and deposited checks intended for the Mount Pleasant Cottage School Union Free School District.
She allegedly made cash withdrawals and purchased a Chanel purse.
The district attorney's office said she did not work for Mount Pleasant or any of the affected school districts.
