Man accused of having pipe bombs faces judge in White Plains

Outdoor pools are officially open for the season.

"She's been talking about this pool for like a month now," said Latoya Dimbo who brought her 5-year-old daughter Mikkala to Crotona Pool.

Mikkala said she couldn't wait to visit.

"I like to swim in the water, and I like to jump in the water," she said.

Dozens of families showed up at Crotona Park for the pool's opening day.

"I like it better than the beach because I don't like all of that dirtiness and the sand," said Elijah Rivera.

Visitors can swim at any of the city's outdoor pools from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day. They will remain open through Sep. 7.
