Voters across the Hudson Valley are heading to the polls Tuesday for a hotly contested primary day.
Here are some of the races we are watching closely today:
City Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy is facing four challengers in the Democratic primary in Yonkers, while two Republicans are competing in their party's race.
In White Plains, Councilman Justin Brasch and former Councilwoman Nadine Hunt Robinson are seeking the Democratic nomination for mayor. Current Mayor Thomas Roach is running for county clerk.
In Harrison, Supervisor Richard Dionisio is being challenged on the Democratic, Republican, and Conservative lines.
In Spring Valley, five Democrats and two Republicans are competing to replace outgoing Mayor Alan Simon.
In Middletown, Mayor Joseph DeStefano is running against County Legislator Joel Sierra in the Democratic primary.
