Yorktown set to host annual SPCA Westchester dog walk and fundraiser

Dog lovers and pet owners are expected to gather at FDR Park this weekend for the annual SPCA Westchester Dog Walk and Pet Fair.
The event features a trail walk, agility playground, kids activities and a pet-themed vendor village. It runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
SPCA Westchester's Lisa Bonnano said the fundraiser is especially important as adoptions have declined in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We really want to encourage people to see the animals we have for adoption," Bonnano said. "Come out, see if we have a good match. We almost always do."
News 12's Lisa Salvadorini and Lisa LaRocca will also be on hand. Pre-registration is available but not required.
