Clarkstown, property owner reach agreement following alleged illegal massage parlor
Town officials says the agreement reached states that the business will no longer operate at the property, and the town has access to inspect the building for the next year unannounced.

The Town of Clarkstown and CASMAC Associates LLC reached a stipulation in state Supreme Court after HnS Spa, a business in the building at 159 Route 304 in Bardonia, was found to allegedly be operating without a massage license and soliciting prostitution.
It was part of the town's crackdown on illegal massage parlors that News 12 reported on in March.
On Monday, Supervisor George Hoehmann reiterated this message, "in Clarkstown, this will not be tolerated."
Supervisor Hoehmann says the agreement reached with the owners is that HnS Spa will no longer operate there, and the town has access to inspect the building for the next year unannounced.
John Finnegan, an attorney for CASMAC, tells News 12 in a statement, “the tenant was operating in direct violation of a provision in the lease agreement. Once the Town of Clarkstown notified the owner, the owner immediately took steps to evict the tenant, who has been removed."
He adds the owner would have acted sooner had they been told earlier.
Supervisor Hoehmann says the next step is at town Justice Court, where fines may be issued. He explains the violations are for each day, which could add up to tens of thousands of dollars.
