Police say they have arrested a man following a report of a person with a gun in Peekskill.

Eric Gordineer, 33, faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and harassment after an incident Tuesday morning at Ridge and Franklin streets.

Witnesses reported the situation began with a complaint about noisy road work and escalated with Con Edison contractors performing gas line utility work.

In a statement, Con Edison said, “We take the safety of our employees and contractors very seriously. In New York, assaulting a utility worker is a felony, and we condemn threats or acts of violence against our workforce.”
