A Connecticut man was killed in a two-car crash on Sunday on I-684 northbound the Town of Southeast, according to state police.

A preliminary investigation revealed that 23-year-old Makayla McIntyre, of Mount Vernon, lost control of her vehicle. She struck a guiderail, veered across all lanes of traffic, and collided with another vehicle driven by 65-year-old Michael Keller of New Milford, Connecticut.

Both cars then veered off the roadway, struck the middle median, overturned, and came to rest in the center embankment.

Keller was pronounced dead at the scene, while McIntyre was transported to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries.
