Two fires sparked in the Bronx on Tuesday afternoon caused Amtrak to suspend services from New York to New Haven

Fire officials received a call at 2:16 p.m. at a facility on Bronxdale Avenue that houses auto parts. They also responded to a separate fire at an Amtrak transformer about a quarter mile away. Multiple vehicles were also on fire there.

All services on those lines were suspended for the rest of the day. Limited services are available between Boston South Station and New Haven.

Travelers at the New Rochelle train station are now scrambling to figure out new travel plans because of these cancellations. One traveler told News 12 she has an exam on Wednesday and is nervous she won't be back in time.

"I am super stressed because I also want to review and study and everything for my midterm. I want to get back in time so I was not expecting this," says Saloni Jain, a student traveling to Boston.

There is still no word if any rail services will be impacted on Wednesday,

But customers traveling between New York to New Haven are encouraged to take Metro North Railroad services right now. Metro North is honoring Amtrak tickets
