A Beekman man was arrested for trying to rob a motel room in Dutchess County on Thursday night.

Police say 42-year-old Christopher Ortiz broke into a room at the Pine Grove Motel armed with a knife.

Officers responded to the incident and took him into custody.

Ortiz now faces multiple charges, including criminal mischief.
