Bitter blast eases this week, rainy days ahead for the Hudson Valley

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says it will be warmer this week, but expect rainy conditions.

OVERNIGHT: Clear skies, bitterly cold into Monday morning. Temps will be in the upper to low teens. Feels like low teens into upper single digits.

MONDAY: Sunny and bitterly cold to start the morning. In the afternoon, warming up to the upper 30s. Lows will be near 30 degrees.

TUESDAY: Cloudy with scattered rain showers and wintry mix/snow showers to area in the north by late morning into the afternoon. Highs will be near 40 degrees. Lows in the lower 30s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy and mild with periods of light rain. Highs in the low 40s. Lows in the middle 30s.

THURSDAY: Cloudy, mild and rainy. Highs will be in the upper 40s. Lows near 40 degrees. 

FRIDAY: Cloudy with rain mainly in the morning before tapering off in the afternoon. It will be milder as highs reach near 50 degrees. Low temperatures in the upper 30s. 

NEXT WEEKEND: Staying mild with a mix of sun and clouds. Could see more rain Sunday as we cool down a bit more. Otherwise a pretty quiet weekend is expected overall.
