Crash in Valley Cottage kills 1-year-old girl

Police say a crash in Clarkstown on Tuesday killed a 1-year-old girl.
The accident happened just before 9 a.m. in the area of Route 303 and Hillside Lane in Valley Cottage.
It involved a black Nissan Pathfinder and a white Ford commercial box truck.
The 31-year-old driver of the Nissan had two children in the car - a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl.
They were all taken to Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
The girl was then taken to Westchester Medical Center, where she later died.
The driver of the box truck was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
Both drivers and the boy remain hospitalized.
The road was closed from Route 303 from Lake Road to North Palisades Center Drive for seven hours.
